AVON, Jan. 23 – Joe Ives had game-high 24 points, including four 3-point goals, as the Falcons boys basketball team cruised to their sixth straight victory with a 60-53 win over Enfield.
Avon (7-4, 5-0 NCCC) won for the seventh time in the last eight games. Enfield (1-10, 0-4), which lost its 10th straight game, trimmed an 18-point deficit to seven in the fourth quarter but couldn’t get any closer.
Earlier in the week, the Falcons outlasted Tolland, 68-55 with 15 points from Lambert Givens and 13 from Ives. A strong 22-12 effort in the third quarter lifted the Falcons.
