If you’re worried about the psyche of Avon’s Madison Kennedy all these months after coming close to her first Olympic team last summer, don’t be. Even though she made the Olympic Trials finals in both her sprint events (50 meter and 100 meter freestyle), she came up short both times, finishing fifth and eighth, respectively. Still, for her, the experience and process were almost as important as her desire to make the team. Rather than dwelling on what did not happen, she’s choosing to focus on the possibilities of what’s still to come.
