CANTON, June 1 – Pitcher Kevin Murray pitched seven shutout innings and struck out six to lead the Litchfield Cowboys to a 13-0 win over the Canton Crushers in Tri-State League action at Bowdoin Field on Sunday.

The Crushers (0-3) managed just four hits in the contest – singles from Steve Dubois, Spencer Griffin, Chris Colon and Grant Snyder. Litchfield pitchers Murray and reliever Justin Biowski combined to strike out nine Canton batters.

Mike Oldenwalder was 6-for-6 for the visiting Cowboys (3-1) with a home run and two doubles. In his last two games, Odenwaelder is 10-for-10. He was 4-for-4 with two RBI on Thursday night in a 8-2 win over Torrington. 

Dubois took the loss on the mound for Canton, pitching six innings and allowing just four earned runs. He struck out three batters and hit three batters. Mike Agogliati pitched two innings, walked four and allowed seven runs.

Canton jumps right back into action this evening when they travel to Muzzy Field in Bristol to face the Bristol Greeners at 5:45 p.m.
