AVON, Oct. 19 — The Avon High boys soccer team is on a roll. The Falcons won their sixth straight game on Monday with a 2-0 decision over Hall. Max Gorack and Jack Keenan scored for Avon, which improves to 10-3.

Goalie Danny Magrini made four saves in net to post his fifth straight shutout and seventh of the year. Keenan scored for the seventh straight game and has a team-leading 13 goals.

The Falcons (10-3, 8-0 CCC Central White) have been playing well since dropping a 3-2 decision to Conard on September 30. They made several changes after the loss – moving Reed Stapleton from defense to midfield, Brendon Brown from forward to midfield and Keenan from midfield to striker.

Stapleton has helped anchor the defense along with Riley Welter, Jack St. Onge, Aron Green and Collin Dryfe while Keenan has helped jumpstart the offense.

The Falcons (10-3, 8-0 CCC Central White) have a tough game on Thursday night at Southington (9-2-2), beginning at 6 p.m. before closing out the regular season with divisional contests against Weaver (0-12) next Monday on the road and rival Farmington (9-1-2, 7-1 CCC Central White) on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Tunxis Meade at 7 p.m.

The Farmington game will likely decide the CCC Central White championship. Avon’s 2-0 win over Farmington on October 10 was the first loss of the season for the Indians.
