FARMINGTON, Oct. 23 – A week after an exciting seven-point win over Hartford Public, the Farmington High football team got off to a slow start in a 35-14 CCC DIv. II loss to Middletown Friday night. The visiting Dragons scored 21 points in the first quarter to seize command and added another 14 points in the third quarter.

The Indians (2-4, 0-3 CCC Div. 2 East) received a pair of touchdowns from Brian Buono, who ran for 184 yards on 22 carries. “I’m proud of the way we came out in quarters two, three and four,” Farmington coach Chris Machol told GameTime CT and the Middletown Press. “We played a pretty good football team pretty evenly for three quarters. We’ve had a tough early schedule and we wanted to come out of here in good shape.”

Farmington hopes to pick up some additional victories in its final four games. They host Maloney (5-1) next Friday night in Farmington at 7 p.m., travel to face RHAM (0-5) in Hebron on Nov. 7 and host South Windsor (1-4) on Friday, Nov. 13 in its home finale at 7 p.m. The Indians close out the season on Thanksgiving at Plainville (2-3) at 10 a.m.
