CANTON, Jan. 30 – The initiative to generate electricity at the upper dam in Collinsville near the Route 179 bridge is still alive. Town officials provided the Canton Board of Selectmen with an update on the proposed project on Wednesday night. Canton is in the midst of ongoing negotiations with a firm called Canton Hydro, LCC to develop the project.

At the meeting, Robert Skinner, the chief administrative officer, presented an historic overview of the hydro project, the current program and how the town got to this point. Read more about this from our friends at Canton Compass.
