Canton hosted its first-ever night football game at the high school Friday night against Lewis Mills.

Canton brought in portable lights to host a night football game against Lewis Mills in November 2013.

CANTON, Aug. 2 — School officials in Canton are expected to file a formal application with the Planning and Zoning Commission in the coming months to add permanent lights at the high school track and field facility, according to a report in the Canton Compass. The facility opened in November 2013. A Booster Club official estimated that the lights may cost $325,000. Read more on this story from our friends at Canton Compass.
