AVON, Sept. 23 – Running back Jadon Folkwein ran for a team-high 115 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries but RHAM was able to score 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to hand Avon their second straight loss on Saturday with a 26-13 decision in CCC Division III East action.

Avon (1-2, 0-2 CCC Div. 3 East) took a 13-0 lead on a pair of Folkwein touchdowns but Callum Redman ran for a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter to tie the game at halftime, 13-13. Redman throw a 20-yard TD pass and ran for a third touchdown in the fourth quarter to lift the Sachems (2-1, 1-1 CCC DIv. 3 East).

“We played well in the first half but the second half was challenging,” Avon head coach Sal Cintorino said. “Jadon Folkwein ran hard with 50 percent of yards coming after contact. Tucker Gill played well on defense and so did Ryan Ollestad. Still, we need to reduce penalties and mental mistakes.”

QB Dylan Burgos complete 6-of-9 passes for 87 yards and one interception for the Falcons. Defensively, Folkwein and Ian McCutcheon each intercepted RHAM passes.

Avon’s next game will be Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. at Phil Rubin Stadium when the Falcons take on Bloomfield (2-1) on the road.
