Canton girls lacrosse kicks off season with a dominating performance

CANTON, April 1 – Abby Charron and Maeve Balavender scored four goals each while Ashley Huff and Fiona McNally each had three goals as the Canton High girls lacrosse team opened the season with a dominating 18-3 win over Suffield in North Central Connecticut action at the turf field.

Not only did Canton win on opening day for the fourth straight season but the Warriors captured their 23 consecutive NCCC match dating back to the 2016 campaign.

Goalie Courtney LeFave picked up the win in net for head coach Sean Cole, beginning his fifth year behind the bench leading the Warriors.

Canton returns to action when they travel to Granby on Thursday for a 3:45 p.m. contest.
