Barlow eliminates AHS field hockey team in OT

AVON, Nov. 14 — Joel Barlow’s Samatha Macchio scored with 3:40 remaining in overtime to enable Barlow to eliminate the Avon High field hockey team in a stunning 2-1 Class M quarterfinal victory in Avon on Monday in overtime. Barlow took a 1-0 lead but the Falcons tied the game on a goal from Elle Crane in the second half.
