UConn’s Boatright has eyes on the NCAA Tournament

HARTFORD, Jan. 25 – The days are dwindling for UConn senior guard Ryan Boatright. He can see the end of his collegiate career ahead of him. He is determined to go out on the biggest stage he can. “I didn’t come back to play in the NIT,” he told Patrick Tisca of Litchfield County Sports.com. Boatright scored a career-high 28 points including 19 in the second half as the Huskies beat South Florida, 66-53 before 14,105 fans at the XL Center Sunday. Sophomore G Rodney Purvis added 17 for the Huskies (11-7, 4-2 AAC), who beat South Florida (7-13, 1-6) for the second time this month.
