Rose and Grabowski — life-long friends on and off the court

Seniors Gabby Rose and Jacquie Grabowski are both 5-foot-7 and play on the Canton High girls basketball team, which earned a share of its first North Central Connecticut Conference championship since 1999 in February.

They’ve known each other since kindergarten and have been playing basketball together since third grade. They’ll be playing in the CIAC Class S tournament on Thursday at 7 p.m. when the Warriors host either Kolbe Cathedral from Bridgeport or Windham Tech.
