Canton spikers fall to Bolton; Avon has little problem with Bulkeley

BOLTON, Oct. 8 – Canton’s Amber Harraden had nine kills but the host Bulldogs were able to keep Canton at bay in a 3-1 NCCC decision Thursday. Bolton (4-6, 3-5 NCCC) picked up a 25-19, 15-25, 25-16, 25-19 decision. Canton (3-6, 3-6 NCCC) received two kills from Sophia Pelehach and four assists from Harraden. Canton travels to Metropolitian Learning Center in Bloomfield for a non-league match on Friday.

Avon sweeps Bulkeley
HARTFORD, Oct. 7 – Abby Laszewski had five kills and nine aces as the Falcons swept Bulkeley, 25-6, 25-23, 25-13 on Wednesday. Abby Lancaster led Avon (8-3, 5-1 CCC Central White) with seven kills while Abby Elliott had eight assists. Brooke Fisher had seven assists for the Falcons. Bulkeley slips to 0-10 overall and 0-6 CCC Central White. 

Avon hosts Northwest Catholic (6-6, 3-3 CCC Central White) Friday at 5:30 p.m.
