Rockville upends Bears; Farmington dominates; Mills gets 2nd straight win

VERNON, Sept. 25, 2026 – Kayden Boland ran for two touchdowns as the Rockville High football team beat Granby/Canton, 21-7 in a matchup of two contenders in the Pequot Conference Uncas Division.

For Granby/Canton (2-1), Joe Lewie ran for 78 yards on 15 carries while Gabe Mensah ran for 52 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

FARMINGTON, Sept. 25, 2025 – Grant Kitner caught three touchdown passes from QB Mason Kiniry as the River Hawks beat RHAM, 47-6 in a Central Connecticut Conference contest on Friday night on the George Bennett Field. Titus Lynne ran for a pair of TD scores for Farmington (2-1).

Kitner is the 11th player in program history with three TD receptions in a single game, which ties a school record. The last player to catch three touchdowns in a game was Joshuah Larkin, who caught three TD passes from Kiniry in a game against Enfield last year.

BURLINGTON, Sept. 25, 2026 – Grady Clark had a school-record 98-yard interception return for a touchdown as the Spartans won their second straight game with a 27-7 win over E.O. Smith-Storrs in Central Connecticut Conference play under portable lights on Friday night.

Clark’s touchdown run broke the previous record of an 80-yard interception return in 2025 in Plainville. QB Jayce McDonald ran for two touchdowns and threw a 24-yard TD pass to Bret Hemingway.
