The Blackhawks are the top seed in the NHL’s Western Conference and are facing the Minnesota Wild in the first round. Smith didn’t dress for game 2 Friday against Minnesota.
Smith scored a goal in his first NHL action of the season against St. Louis last Saturday night after spending the season with the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL. Smith scored a career high 27 goals with 20 assists this season with Rockford with eight goals in the final four games. Read more
