Basketball shooting specialist to host youth clinic in Canton

CP basketball graphicCANTON — Renowned NBA shooting specialist, Dave Hopla, will hold a special basketball clinic for boys and girls, grades 3-12, on Nov. 22 and 23, at Valley Sports Center in Canton.  This advanced two-day program is designed to help basketball players improve their mid-range, three-point shooting and free throws.

Hoopla is considered by many to be the top shooter in the world and has set a world record by converting on 18 of 18 shots from the NBA three-point line in less than a minute. He has worked for several NBA teams and has personally trained many NBA, WNBA and NCAA men and women college players to improve their shooting techniques.

“I never miss an opportunity to work with Dave. He’s the best in the business,” said the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant. Former UConn star Ray Allen, a 10-time NBA All-Star, is a fan of Hoopla as well. “Dave has not only helped my shooting but he improved my overall game,” Allen said.
