CANTON, April 22 – Sam Beadle had a double, home run and two hits as the Canton High baseball team won their second game of the season with a 10-0 shutout victory over Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (HMTCA) at Bowdoin Field.
Ryan Enns was 3-for-3 with a double and one RBI while James Matson and Jack Mansur each had doubles for the Warriors.
Three Canton pitchers combined to strikeout 14 HMTCA batters. Starter Brandon Peters struck out four in three innings while Matson and Beadle each struck out five batters in two innings of relief work.
Canton (2-3, 2-2 NCCC) has the weekend before a busy week with five games in six days.
The Warriors host Granby on Monday at Bowdoin Field, travel to Bolton on Tuesday and host Coventry on Wednesday at Bowdoin Field. Canton travels to Windsor Locks on Thursday and finishes the week by hosting Stafford on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bowdoin Field.
