Canton High senior Ashley Huff signed a letter of intent to play girls lacrosse at Stetson University in Deland, Florida in the spring of 2021.
Stetson is a Division I program that plays in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Stetson was 4-13 last spring.
Huff has helped the Canton girls lacrosse team win three straight North Central Connecticut Conference championships and advance to the Class S semifinals three consecutive seasons. An All-State selection as a junior, Huff scored 61 goals as a junior, 49 as a sophomore and 23 as a freshman. She had a career-high seven goals in a win over Somers in the 2018 Class S tournament.
Huff also plays field hockey at Canton. She has 13 goals this season and the Warriors face No. 2 North Branford on Thursday in the Class S tournament. She had eight goals as a junior and 11 as a sophomore for Canton.
