Greenwich is ranked No. 1 in GameTime CT’s preseason top 10 football poll in voting by sportswriters from around the state. The Cardinals received 17 first place votes.
Four other teams received No. 1 votes from the 24-member panel. Darien, Fairfield Prep and Killingly were also voted No. 1.
Southington, which will face Simsbury later this month, was voted No. 10 in the poll while Bloomfield, whom Avon and Farmington will face this year, was ranked No. 12 in the poll.
