Avon spikers stun Berlin with 3-0 sweep

AVON, Oct. 26, 2022 – Katelyn Wankier and Hollis Ryan had six kills each as the Avon High girls volleyball team picked up an impressive 3-0 win on Wednesday night over a Berlin squad that came into the match with 15 victories.

The Falcons (6-12) beat Berlin on Senior Night by a score of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-21. The Redcoats slipped to 15-5 on the season.

Olivia Evanko had 15 assists and 11 digs for Avon while Jocee Powers had 18 digs and three serving aces. Ryan had seven digs too. Avon closes out the regular season with a match at No. 5 Southington on Thursday night.
