Farmington spikers sweep Avon; Mills snaps three-match losing streak

FARMINGTON, Oct. 3, 2022 – Jocee Powers had 17 digs while teammate Olivia Evanko had six kills, 16 assists and four serving aces but it wasn’t enough as Farmington swept the Avon High volleyball team, 3-0 on Monday in CCC action.

The River Hawks (4-6) prevailed 25-21, 25-20 and 25-11.

Katelyn Wankier had seven kills for the Falcons (2-7) while Paola Ortega had five serving aces.

BURLINGTON, Oct. 3, 2022 – Emma Fallon had seven kills and three serving aces to lead the Lewis Mills volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep over Middletown on Monday in a CCC South match. Lilly Coates had six kills, two blocks and one dig for the Spartans (5-5), who snapped a three-match losing streak.

Middletown (4-4) was led by Jada Bryan with six kills while Hannah Blakeslee had four aces.
