CANTON, Nov. 25, 2022 – Canton High graduate Max Sparks won the tenth annual O’Briley 5K Turkey Trot for the third time on Thursday morning with a dominating victory in the 3.1 mile road race.
Sparks, a senior at the University of Lynchburg (Virginia) won with a winning time of 16:54, winning the race by more than two minutes.
In the woman’s race, Farmington High senior Anna Weygang set a new course record with her winning time of 19:22.8, breaking the previous record of 19:56 set in 2019 by Canton’s Julia Caputo.
More than 400 runners registered to run in the annual event.
