
Avon’s Giana Godbout (12) had 12 points in Avon’s two-point win over Granby on Monday.
GRANBY, January 30, 2023 – Adi Standish scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Avon high girls basketball team to a 48-46 win over Granby in non-league play Monday night.
Giana Godbout and Mya Hall had 12 points each as the Falcons built a 35-26 lead after three quarters. Godbout sank four 3-point shots in the victory. Avon (9-5) erased a 10-point halftime deficit to grab the lead.
It’s the most wins in a single season since 2016 when the Falcons won 10 games in their first year in the Central Connecticut Conference.
Fem Jansen had 14 points to lead Granby (9-5).
