GLASTONBURY, April 10, 2023 – The Avon High baseball team took advantage of some wildness in the first inning to score seven runs and beat Glastonbury, 10-4 on Monday in CCC West action.
The Falcons (2-1) had just four hits with James Walsh and Jacob Wirth each getting two hits. Wirth had a triple and two RBI. Four Avon pitchers scattered 10 hits and struck out six. Avon took an early 7-0 lead in the first inning thanks to four walks, an error, a hit batter, two hits and a sacrifice fly.
Avon returns to the diamond on Wednesday when they host Hall at Buckingham Field at 3:45 p.m.

CANTON, April 10, 2023 – Four players had multiple hits as the Canton High baseball rapped out 13 hits in a 12-3 win over Windsor Locks Monday at Bowdoin Field in North Central Connecticut Conference play.
Jackson Senecal, Ian Clark, Rob Dlubac and Michael Archangelo each had two hits for the Warriors, who improved to 3-1 on the season. Dlubac was 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI. Max Sedor also drove in three runs for Canton.
On the mound, Dlubac went five innings to earn the win. He gave up five hits and struck out six.
