Podcast devotes show to story of Kaylie Murphy and the Avon field hockey team

A recent podcast of Unplugged with Nicki Marie devoted an episode to the story of Kaylie Murphy and the Avon High field hockey team.

Nicki Marie says her show is about “all about connection, support, and the real emotions that come with motherhood, friendship, sisterhood, and everything in between. I’m also a big advocate for women in sports, as a major part of my upbringing was in the gym and on the athletic field.”

Nicki says, “This conversation is about: true inclusion, the power of supportive teammates, coaching with heart and what happens when someone is given the chance to belong.”

In the show, Avon High field hockey coach Terri Ziemnicki says, “I’m hoping that with this story other people see what’s possible  —  that anybody who has any type of disability, if they’re given a chance, and they’re in the right environment and the right culture, just amazing things can happen.”
