NOTE: Connecticut played in the Northeast Regional since it began in 1960. This summer, the national American Legion organization reduced the number of  teams in the regional tournaments from 64 to 60, eliminating states that had two entries. Four of the eight regional tournaments had just six teams. A six-team tournament can be completed in four days instead of five to help the national organization reduce hotel and field costs. Moving Connecticut to the Mid-Atlantic region left the Northeast Region with six teams.
