CANTON, Sept. 8, 2022 – London Abbott had a pair of goals to lead the Canton High boys soccer team to a 2-0 shutout win over East Lyme Thursday in the season-opening win for both teams on the turf field.
Ian Clark and Spencer Abbott had assists for the Warriors while Gavyn Munson made seven saves in net to earn the shutout. The Warriors return tp action on Tuesday when they host Suffield beginning at 4 p.m. in a battle between two of the contenders for this year’s NCCC championship.

WEST HARTFORD, Sept. 8, 2022 – Sophomore Rayhan Shameen scored his first varsity goal off an assist from Adarsh Rajamanickham as the Avon High boys soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Northwest Catholic in CCC West action on Thursday.
Braden Gilbey and Lucas Monteiro each scored on penalty kicks in the second half to help the Falcons (1-0) win their season-opening contest. Goalie Buster Akers made two saves in net to secure the win.
Avon returns to action on Tuesday when they host Conard at the high school at 3:45 p.m. on the turf field.
