CANTON, Jan. 25 – For the first time since 2004, the Canton girls basketball team has won at least 10 games in the regular season. The Warriors (10-2, 5-2 NCCC) won a pair of games last week with victories over East Granby, 50-39 and East Windsor, 33-19.
Canton picked up the defensive intensity against the Panthers taking a 21-10 halftime lead. Sarah Benedetti scored 18 points to lead Canton while Megan Roux added eight. Earlier in the week, Roux had 15 points in the win over East Granby while Sarah Getz added 13.
