Avon boys lacrosse finishes with 13 wins

BOYS LACROSSE: Junior Terence Olsen had five assists to increase his team-leading total to 32 and a goal to lead Avon (11-4, 7-3 NCCC) to a 13-10 victory over Newington in the regular season finale for the Falcons, who won two of its final four matches.

Avon dropped a 9-8 decision to Granby a day earlier when Christian O’Neil scored for the Bears (15-1) with 13 seconds left in regulation. Junior Connor Manniatty has a team-high 32 goals on the year.
