Robaczynski had won the race in three of the last four years and seven times overall. But LeDuc was able to hold him off, winning the 3.1-mile race in 15:36. Jesse Schneider was 14 seconds back in 15:50. Farmington’s Chris Chisholm, a former two-time champion, finished fourth in 16:17.
Canton’s Mary Lynn Currier, 49, extended her domination of the women’s race, winning the event for the eighth straight year in 18:19. She was 25th overall in the field of 499 runners, the largest since 2004. Canton’s Kim Powell, a recent graduate of Dickinson College in Pennsylvania was second in 18:49. The race course was modified this year due to ongoing construction on Dyer Avenue with some loops around Canton High School. Proceeds from the race benefit the Canton Middle School PTO.
