AVON, Nov. 11 — Conor Lanahan’s goal was the difference as the No. 7 Avon High boys soccer team (12-3-1) eliminated No. 26 Fairfield Warde at Fisher Meadow on Friday. It was the first game in over two weeks for the Falcons. Alex Andrews made two saves to earn the shutout for Avon. The Falcons will host No. 10 E.O. Smith (10-3-4) on Monday at 2 p.m. at Fisher Meadows in the Class L quarterfinals.
