Track: Avon girls win a pair with Ellington, Locks; Avon boys split

AVON, April 9 – The Avon High girls track and field team won 14 of 15 events Tuesday afternoon to remain undefeated (4-0, 4-0 NCCC) with dominant victories over Ellington, 118-31 and Windsor Locks, 143-6. Stephanie Koo (100 and 200 meters) and Maeve Reiss (300 hurdles, triple jump) won two events each for the Falcons. Koo also ran on Avon’s winning 4×100 relay team.

On the boys side, Ellington swept the meet with wins over Avon, 89½-57½ and Windsor Locks, 100-45. Avon (2-2, 2-2 NCCC) earned a victory with a 100-45 decision over the visiting Raiders.

Cory DiBacco (400) and Dan Innes (300 hurdles) won races for the Falcons while Jacob Sartain swept three field events – high jump, long jump and triple jump.
