AVON – The Avon High girls track and field team remained undefeated Tuesday with two easy victories over East Granby, 111-27 and Suffield, 102-48. The Falcons won 11 events including all three relays to improve to 9-0 and extended their dual meet win streak to 15 in a row.
It sets up a battle with undefeated Granby (9-0) on Tuesday at Stafford High.
The winner will likely finish the dual meet portion of the season undefeated. To determine a league champion, teams earn one point for each dual meet victory and for every team they beat at the league championship meet on May 21 at Coventry.
Don’t overlook the home team, either. Stafford is 8-1 on the season.
