Canton manages just 3 hits in loss to Wolcott

WOLCOTT, June 12 – Pitcher Matt Finkenzeller allowed just three hits as the Wolcott Scrappers dominated the Crushers in an 18-1 victory Thursday night in Tri-State League baseball at the BAW Complex. Mike Meier had a three-run home run and double to lead Wolcott (4-4). 

Elvis Martinez had a two-run home run and a RBI single for the Scrappers while Eric Soucy had three hits and three runs scored. Patient Adam Lacapra had a single, walked four times and scored three times. Winless Canton (0-7) was led by Jon Scippa with a double. The Crushers host undefeated Brass City (5-0) on Sunday at Bowdoin Field at 5 p.m.
