ENFIELD, Oct. 2 – The school’s new single game rushing record lasted less than a week. Junior Connor Field ran for three touchdowns and 377 yards on 33 carries to lead the Granby High football team (2-2) to their second straight win in a 35-21 decision over Enfield Thursday night under the lights. A week earlier, Field ran for 337 yards in a win over Sport Medicine Science Academy/University. In the last two weeks, Field has raced for 714 yards and scored seven TDs. 

Enfield (1-3) tied the game at 14-14 when Tyrik Henry caught the second of three touchdown receptions in the third quarter. But Field scored on two long touchdown runs in the third quarter and Pagano scored in the fourth quarter to put the Bears ahead for good.

Hall 49, Simsbury 14
SIMSBURY, Oct. 2 – Hall QB Sam Dobbins set a new single game school record with six touchdown passes in a 49-14 win over Simsbury in CCC Division I West action Thursday night. Dobbins, who completed 15-of-21 passes for 301 yards, threw three TD passes to Rob Parra (6-183) and one each to John Wells, Hayden Souza and Hunter Pond.

Elijah Barrows led Simsbury (2-2) by rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. QB Riley Shanley ran for 82 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

Wethersfield 41, Farmington 14
FARMINGTON, Oct. 3 – No. 14 Wethersfield remained undefeated with a dominating win over Farmington, 41-14. Tyler Nelson ran for two TDs and 120 yards to lead the Eagles (4-0), who led 41-0 at halftime. QB Matt Sanzaro completed 7-of-13 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Farmington (1-3) was led by Mike Popolizo, who ran for two touchdowns and completed 15-of-21 passes for 144 yards.

DURHAM, Oct. 4 — Jake Ober ran for three touchdowns and 92 yards on eight carries to lead undefeated Coginchaug (4-0) to a 46-0 victory over winless Lewis Mills (0-4). Mills has lost eight straight since last season.
