Huskies can’t get started in loss to Bearcats

CINCINNATI, Jan. 29 – They may be the defending national champions but the Connecticut men’s basketball team will need to begin picking up some victories if they hope to defend their title and play in this year’s NCAA tournament. The Huskies (11-8, 4-3 AAC) were listless in a 70-58 loss to Cincinnati Thursday night. Ryan Boatright scored a game-high 22 points for the Huskies but the host Bearcats (15-5, 6-2 AAC) never trailed. UConn began the game with turnovers on four of their first five possessions and had 13 first half turnovers. More from A Dime Back.
