Playing for a state championship: A day that won’t be forgotten

Saturday’s Class S championship game between the Canton and Thomaston High girls basketball teams produced memories that will last a lifetime. The result wasn’t what the Warrior fans were looking for but it was a wonderful journey. It was a hard-fought game between two scrappy teams that hit the floor, play hard and play with passion until the final whistle. Here are some video highlights of the day and Thomaston’s 52-50 victory from John Fitts at the Canton Compass and CPTV Sports, which broadcast the game across the state.
