CANTON, May 6 – Jake Whittingslow established a new single game scoring record Wednesday afternoon against St. Paul. Whittingslow had eight goals and four assists to lead the Canton High boys lacrosse team to a 16-6 win over St. Paul-Bristol on the turf field at the high school.
Whittingslow’s performance breaks the previous single-game record of seven goals by Manny Harden, who had seven goals a year ago in a win over Housatonic.
Eddie Melton had four goals and five assists for the Warriors, now 3-7, while Will Columbia (2), Matt Bangs and Jake Sullivan also scored. Caiden Permenter, Walter Dylag and Dan Delos all played well defensively to help Canton secure the victory.
