TORRINGTON — With the spotlight glowing brightly at Torrington’s Robert H. Frost Sports Complex Friday night, the Ansonia High football team didn’t flinch at all. It was a battle of two undefeated teams featuring an upstart Torrington High team looking for its first 7-0 start since 1948.

Ansonia, the perennial NVL and state champion contender, came out and did what they do best. Hit. Block. Tackle. Score touchdowns. Win games.
