BURLINGTON, Nov. 14 – Colin Kennedy scored on a 20-yard fumble return and a 30-yard run in the third quarter to help spark Lewis Mills to a 21-0 Pequot Conference win over winless Coventry/Windam Tech/Bolton on Saturday in Burlington.
Kennedy also ran for a team-high 121 yards on 13 carries for the Spartans, who have won a school-record four straight games. It was also the first shutout in Mills’ history.
Mills will be looking for its first-ever winning season if they can win one of their final two games. The Spartans travel to Stafford on Friday night to face the Stafford/East Windsor/Somers co-op team (3-5) and close out the season by hosting Nonnewaug (5-4) on Thanksgiving morning in Burlington.
