AVON — Stars, a special occasion and bridal gown store in the Riverdale Farms plaza, will be closing in Avon with the retirement of owner Karen Worobow after 21 years in business. A store-closing sale to liquidate all inventory in the store, furniture, fixtures and equipment begins on Thursday, April 28.
Founded in 1995, Stars has earned its reputation for offering expert advice, superior customer service, and largest selection of special occasion dresses in Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Be it prom dresses, bridal gowns, bridesmaid, mother-of-the bride, or cocktail dresses, Stars in Avon has been the go to specialty store for over 20 years.
Stars and has stuck to its roots as a family-owned business. With the peak prom and wedding season rapidly approaching, women planning to attend special occasions can find all of their clothing and accessories needs at Stars.
“Our store closing sale will be an extraordinary savings opportunity,” Worobow said. “The deals will simply too good to miss. Because our selection of top-designer gowns and dresses are not normally discounted, we expect our inventory will be sold out quickly. We will be selling at aggressive discounts right from the start of the sale. With a store-closing situation like ours, this is a rare opportunity to buy special occasion dresses and gowns at liquidation prices.”
Worobow expressed gratitude for all who have helped to make their store a unique place to shop.
“We feel privileged to have served Hartford and the surrounding communities for over 20 years, and want to thank our loyal customers and friends for their continued support and patronage. It has been a joy to share in the special moments in our customer’s lives. Please stop by to see us during our sale.”
