Enns, Lange help Warriors improve to 2-0 with victory over Ellington

CANTON, Dec. 23 – Junior Ryan Enns scored 15 points while sophomore Grant Lange added 12 to help the Canton High boys basketball team win their second straight game with a 46-39 victory over Ellington in NCCC play Friday night.

The Warriors (2-0, 2-0 NCCC) held a 30-29 lead after three quarters but held off the Purple Knights in the fourth quarter. Ethan Burke and Luke Brown had six points each for Canton. For Enns, it was three points shy of his career-high of 18 points that he had in a win over MLC last January.

It was just Canton’s second win over the Purple Knights in the last eight years.

Canton returns to action on Wednesday for the Lewis Mills tournament in Burlington. The Warriors face Lewis Mills in a non-league contest at 7:30 p.m. For day two of the tournament, Canton will renew their long rivalry with Avon on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
