Students at Avon High faced the Avon Police and Fire Departments in a successful basketball tournament on Saturday, raising nearly $500 for Vie for the Kids, the clinical trials program at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. The mission of the program is to fund cancer clinical trials treatment and research at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and to provide financial support for cancer patients and their families.
