
Connecticut goalie Sydney Rossman made 23 saves Sunday in a 3-0 loss to Boston.
BOSTON, February 25 – Goalie Brittany Ott made 25 saves to lead the Boston Pride to a 3-0 National Women’s Hockey League victory over the Connecticut Whale Sunday at the Warrior Ice Arena.
Despite taking 25 shots on goal, the Whale (3-9-2) was shutout for the second time this season.
Emily Field had two goals for Boston (3-7-2) while Sydney Daniels had a goal and two assists. Alyssa Gargliardi and Dana Trivigno each had an assist for the Pride while Jillian Dempsey had two assists.
Goalie Sydney Rossman had 23 saves for the Whale, who have lost two straight since the All-Star break.
Last week in Newark, N.J., the league-leading Riveters had two power play goals and goalie Katie Fitzgerald made 23 saves to lead Metropolitan (12-1) to a 4-2 victory over Connecticut.
The Riveters had four players score goals. Alexa Grushow finished with a goal and an assist for the winners.
Connecticut received goalies from Amada Boulier and Kelly Babstock. Both had a goal and assist for the Whale. Goalie Sydney Rossman made 19 stops in net for the Whale.
