Sun to play three exhibition games in state prior to WNBA season

UNCASVILLE, Conn. ,February 28 — Fans of the Connecticut Sun will have two opportunities to see the Sun in action before the 2018 WNBA campaign kicks off.

The Sun will host a two-day preseason event involving the Dallas Wings, New York Liberty and Los Angeles Sparks on May 7 and 8 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The Sun will close out the preseason on Friday, May 11, hosting the Atlanta Dream at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport at 7 p.m.

“The four-team, two-day preseason tournament has become a popular tradition and we’re thrilled to once again host a great line-up of teams at Mohegan Sun Arena,” said Amber Cox, vice president at the Connecticut Sun. “And the opportunity to play a third preseason game in Connecticut is a fantastic situation for us. Taking the ‘show on the road’ to a first-class facility like Webster Bank Arena allows our great fan base another chance to see this exciting Sun team take the court.”

The preseason double-header on the May 7 starts with Dallas and New York tipping off at 5 p.m. The Sun host the Sparks at 7 p.m. On May 8, the Sparks meet New York at 5 p.m. and the Sun face Dallas at 7 p.m.
