MERIDEN, March 19 – Canton High senior Belle Magna played one last high school game on Monday night in the Connecticut High School Coaches Association’s girls basketball All-Star Festival.
Magna scored eight points for the North team in the Class S/M contest. She played for Canton High coach Brian Medeiros, who was coaching in the All-Star Festival for the second consecutive year. The South team beat the North, 85-83.
It was the fourth consecutive year that a Canton player was selected to participate in the Senior All-Star Festival.
Farmington High coach Keith Garbart coached the North team in the Class L/LL game and they fell in overtime, 91-88. Simsbury’s McKenna Finken and Farmington’s Izzy Lipinski played for the North in the Class L/LL contest.
