GRANBY, June 9 – Luke Jennings, 16, became the youngest winner of the fifth annual Granby Bear 5K Challenge Saturday. Jennings won the race with a time of 20:10.66 beating Matthew Kotch, 37, who was second with a time of 21:47.16 and Paul Baldini, who was a close third in 21:47.96.
Amy Briggs, 17, won the women’s race with a time of 23:01.39, good enough for seventh place overall in the field of 52 runners. Second place in the women’s race when to Lindsey Morizio with a time of 23:33.65.
Proceeds benefit the Granby Memorial Athletic Department.
