
Terryville’s Chris Callahan was 4-for-5 with two RBI in Wednesday night’s win over Tri-Town in game two of the Tri-State League’s championship series.
TORRINGTON, August 22 – The Tri-Town Trojans were four innings away from their second-ever Tri-State League championship when the Terryville Black Sox awoke.
Terryville erased a five-run deficit and scored 10 runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to beat the Trojans, 10-7, Wednesday night and force a deciding game in the best-of-3 championship series. Tri-Town (19-6) beat Terryville, 3-0 in game one on Tuesday.
Game 3 is Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Fuessenich Park in Torrington.
Chris Callahan was 4-for-5 with two RBI for the Black Sox (26-6), who received 11 strikeouts from pitcher Kody Kerski.
