CANTON – Canton High School will hold their 16th annual alumni weekend on October 4-6 with varsity teams playing under the new permanent lights at the Canton High athletic complex and six graduates being inducted into the Canton High Wall of Fame.
On the field, the field hockey team will host Stafford on Thursday, October 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m. On Friday, the girls volleyball team will host Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (HMTCA) at 7 p.m. in the gym with the football team hosting Ellington at 7 p.m. on the turf field.
On Saturday night, October 6, the annual soccer doubleheader begins at 5 p.m. with the girls soccer team hosting Ellington at 5 p.m. and the boys soccer team facing Ellington at 7:30 p.m. A ceremony celebrating the permanent lights will be held Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Six graduates will be honored for their outstanding contributions to their chosen field of work and/or the community – Patricia (Sarmuk) Canny (Class of 1991), David Drumm (1960), Burton and Lucillia Harrington (1933), John Luntta (1939) and Mark Sawyer (1980).
