Donofrio throws no hitter, strikes out 13 to lead Simsbury to victory

SIMSBURY, April 28 – Pitcher Jack Donofrio struck out 13 and tossed a no-hitter as the Simsbury High baseball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 10-0 Central Connecticut Conference win over Hartford Public in six innings at Memorial Field Monday.

Donofrio went the distance, walking three and winning his second game of the season. He also contributed at the plate with a RBI triple. Teammates Dylan Leonard was 2-for-4 with two RBI while Ryan Laubscher was 2-for-3 with a double.

Simsbury returns to action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. when the Trojans host Glastonbury at Memorial Field.
